Shame. What is your response to that word? Before you shut yourself off, remember that shame doesn't like to be spoken of, and will do its best to remain unexposed. But if we were to shed some light, perhaps your heart will thank you.
Shame is manipulative. Like a "friend" who promised you good things, but with a dark motive, then left you feeling beaten up, isolated, lonely and without value. Every time shame does not get its way, it pushes you further down in this darkness. There is no safe place in shame.
Dear someone, please, ever so gently, when you're ready, speak to that shame and tell it to leave. The more you name it, and declare that its place is not in your life, the stronger you will feel without it and the smaller that shame will become.
Dear Someone, learn how to feel again, to love again, to let go of things that lurk in the darkness and to embrace the honest moment of connection, restoration and love waiting for you.
